All About Shin Dong Ho



Shin Dongho (born June 29, 1994) is a South Korean singeractor and member of the boyband, U-KISS under NH Media.  Dongho is the youngest member of the band that include Soohyun, KiseopEli, AJ, Hoon and Kevin.
Dongho can communicate in Mandarin because he studied in Beijing, China. At a young age, he was known to have a deep voice and an unpredictable personality.
He studied middle school in Seoul Yonggang Middle School and is currently attending first year High School in Hanrim Entertainment Arts School.
Dongho is the most active member of the group having participated in the most number of projects compared to the other six members. He had appeared on reality shows such asRaising IdolIdol Maknae Rebellion, and Sonyeon Sonyeo Gayo Baekseo. Dongho also appeared on SBSStrong HeartLove ChaserMBC's Star Do Do Chores, SBS' Quiz Sixth Sense, KBS' Star Golden BellQuiz to Change the World and movies such as My Black Mini DressVillain and Widow, and Mr. Idol.  He also dubbed the voice of the lead character for an animated movie, Hong Gil Dong 2084.

Pre-debut

Dongho is oriented to the world of show business, since his father owns a magazine company. He became a trainee for NH Media and was chosen as one of the potential members for an upcoming boyband.

[edit]2008-2010: Debut and Road to Stardom

Dongho is one of the members of a Korean boyband, probably the third member to join U-KISS in 2008. He was known to have a corn row hairstyle in their first music video, Not Young. Dongho is notable as the most active member of the group having participated in the most number of projects comparing to the six other members. He had TV appearances on reality shows such as Idol Maknae RebellionRaising Idol, and Sonyeon Sonyeo Gayo Baekseo. Dongho even gained much popularity on his TV guestings on SBS' Strong HeartLove Chaser, MBC's Star Do Do Chores, SBS' Quiz Sixth Sense, KBS' Star Golden Bell, and Quiz to Change the World.
Aside from solo projects, Dongho also participated in their reality show as a group. Among these are UKISS VampireYou Know U-KISS and Chef Kiss. As a member, he had released 5 mini albums to date entitled N-GenerationBring It Back 2 Old School,ContiUkissBreaktime, and Bran New Kiss and 2 full album entitled, Only One and Neverland.
He was also one of the casts for many films such as My Black Mini Dress where Dongho's scene with Yoo In Na caught a lot of attention.U-KISS received good reviews by appearing on a preview event of the movie My Black Mini Dress, which Dongho acted in. In Idol Maknae Rebellion, Jung Jun Ha challenged the maknaes to a challenge, Jja Jjang Myun (noodles with a black bean sauce) Eating Contest. Dongho, downed the whole bowl in only 59 seconds, which then featured on an article, U-KISS Dongho can take on any food challenge.  In his appearance in SBS's Strong Heart on April 12, Dongho admitted that he ran away from home during hischildhood life.During that tumultuous time in his life, Dongho revealed that he had packed everything into his bag and left home. Despite his young age, Dongho explained that he even withdrew everything he had in his bank account.

[edit]2011-present: TV shows and movies

He starred in his first acting role, Villain & Widow where he plays as a good-looking middle school student. Dongho also star in the MBC full-length drama, Royal Family. Due to his busy schedule as a U-KISS member, Dongho turned down five leading roles for movies and stated that he lacks more aspect as a leading actor. Dongho emphasized that he want to learn first in his smaller roles before accepting major role as an actor.
Aside from his career as an entertainer, Dongho is also a member of a Baseball team. In one episode of SBS's Invincible Team, he revealed that he wanted to build a baseball park for Korean baseball fans. On February 28, U-KISS began filming a movie with Jay Park, Kim Soo Ro and Korean actress Park Ye Jin with a working title, Mr. Idol. This was the group's first movie. On the June edition of the magazine Cosmopolitan Korea, Dongho along with co-member Kim Eli, including actress Seo Hyo Rim were featured to show off summer outfits.  Dongho wears the most popular sunglasses during summer time, which are called the aviators. The aviators go well with his outfit like grey jacket, royal blue shirt and his flower boy hairstyle.
Dongho also starred in a 3D animation movie titled Hong Gil Dong 2084 as the voice of the lead character, Hong Gil Dong which had its premiere on August 18.  The production company stated "Dongho has a cute face with versatile talents[...] thus having a fanbase that consists of both younger and older generations[...] bold personality especially resembles the animation's character, Hong Gil Dong". It took three years to accomplish 'Hong Gil Dong 2084' which costs reaching 36 billion won.Shin, along with co-U-KISS member, Hoon has been casts as one of the lead role for a TV-movie series, Holy Land. This will be Dongho's fourth acting career and is expected to be shown on-air on April. Holy Land is about a high school student who does not fit in at school or at home and spends endless nights rebelling against society in the streets, picks up boxing and begins to learn his worth, picking up love and friendship along the way.
He act as a lead role for an upcoming movie Don’t Cry Mommy, and is expected to premiere soon in Japan.On October 15, 2012 during the press conference of the movie Kim YongHan, the director praises Dongho's acting ability. He stated, "...I didn’t expect to receive such a big response to Dongho’s character, a minor sexual predator". In the film, Dongho plays an over-confident high school student, who performs the crime of sexual assault on a female student, Eunha (played by Nam Bora) and does not feel the consequences of his actions. The director further stated, "...he truly acts very well. If another idol had tried, they wouldn’t have been able to as there is a lot of depth in the confidence of the character to make such bold decisions.he acts extremely well".




All About Kevin Woo (Woo Sung Hyun)



Woo Sunghyun (Korean우성현) (born November 25, 1991), better known by his birth name Kevin (Korean케빈) is a Korean-American singer, currently a member and vocalist of seven-member South Korean boy bandU-KISS, formed by NH Media in 2008. Bandmates include SoohyunKiseopEli, AJ, Hoon and Dongho. Previous members include Alexander and Kibum.
Kevin was born and raised in DanvilleCaliforniaUnited States, living with his parents and older sister. He attended Monte Vista High School and was in the school choir. After auditioning in Korea during a holiday trip, he was chosen and thus decided to be a singer. At the age of 15, Kevin moved to South Korea with his mother to pursue his dream. Kevin's religion is Christianity. 

2006 : Debut with XING

Kevin debuted in a four-member group, XING, alongside Marumir otherwise known as Kim Kibum, Yume and Cheon Hyesung. The group name is an acronym for Crossing In New Genre. XING's first single 'In Your Hands' was released on December 14, 2006. Their popularity quickly rose and they were dubbed as the teenage SG Wannabe. XING made it into the list of the Top 5 Most Anticipated Artists in 2007.

In 2007, two new members were added to the group, while Marumir left the group. Thus, XING became a 5-member group for the release of their second mini album on August 5, 2007, My Girl. The title song falls into the genre of pop.
After undergoing member makeup dramatic changes, seven-member XING returned to the musical scene in December 12, 2007, withmini albumThe White Of Winter. On March 17, 2008, the seven-member XING released a digital single T-Express. The music style of the group changes from pop genre to a more dance genre with rap influence.

The group held its second concert on September 8, 2007. They performed songs from both their singles and each member delivered a solo performance. They performed officially on national television at the YTN Star Digital Night Concert. After the release of T-Express in April 2008, Woo, the only original member of XING decided to depart from the group.

Kevin then became a member of a six-member group, U-KISS. The name of the group stands for Ubiquitous Korean International (Idol) Super Star. They debuted on August 15, 2008 in Japan at the Power of Atamix. The group released their first mini albumN-Generation, on September 3, 2008. Later on, the group debuted on South Korean television, with a performance of "Not Young" on M! Countdown. Kiseop later joined in 2009, before 만만하니 promotional activities, and U-KISS then becomes a seven-member boyband.

[edit]Mini Albums and Albums released

The group made their comeback with their second mini albumBring It Back 2 Old School, on the 11th of February, 2009. The title track "I Like You" features the members sporting Old School hairstyles, dancing to Korean pop in the late 1990s, which was the concept of their second mini album. The second promoted track is "Talk To Me", although it had no obvious links to the Old School concept they were aiming for.
On November 5, 2009, U-KISS returned with their third mini albumAm I That Easy?. The title track "Am I That Easy?" helped raise their popularity, which promptly led them to start recording the next album.
Their first full length album, Only One, was released on February 2010. Promoted songs include "Round and Round", "What".
On October 4, 2010, the fourth mini album Break Time showed fans yet another new concept conjured up by the company. It features the title track, Shut Up.
Starting on January 5, 2011, Kevin participated in the musical “On Air Live” as the lead actor. He acted in a total of 26 shows between his first stage as stated, and his last stage on February 14, 2011.

Kevin joined Arirang's radio show Pops in Seoul to host the 'All About You' segment alongside co-host Isak. Alexander later joined the duo in the hosting. Eli joined them as a new co-host in early 2010, replacing Isak.
Kevin, along with bandmate Alexander were also made regular casts for variety show "Star King" since April, and were both selected as new MCs for Arirang TV global music show "The M-Wave" in early August.
Five members, Soohyun, Kibum, Kiseop, Dongho and Kevin were announced to be part of drama I Am Legend, acting as a rock band. This marks their acting debut, where members get to show their musical talent by playing instruments they are good at. Kevin will be playing the guitar. Fans have noted that they did not appear in the drama. However, no officials stood out to explain the issue.
U-KISS has also starred in many variety shows over the years. Variety that are U-KISS centric includes "You Know U-Kiss", "All about U-Kiss", "U-Kiss' Vampire" and "Chef's Kiss"
Kevin also sang Finally featuring Alexander, a song composed by Brave Brothers. As of March 17, U-Kiss' Kevin, Eli, and former member Alexander will no longer be MC's for Arirang's Radio School. With the group's loss of former members Alexander and Kibum, and the release of their upcoming 2011 album, Arirang has etched out Radio School, replacing it with an alternate program. Alexander tweeted his thanks on the 17th saying, "Thank u for all ya love & support for our @arirangpops segment! Learnt a lot & had so much FUN w/ y'all~ Gonna miss y'all.. Love y'all!♥^-^"



All About Yeo Hoon Min




Yeo Hoonmin (Korean여훈민) (born August 16, 1991 in Gyeonggi-doSouth Korea), also known by his stage name Hoon is a South Korean idol singeractor and occasional model. He is best known as a member and one of the vocalists of South Korean boyband,U-KISS under NH Media after the departure of Alexander Lee Eusebio and Kim Kibum in February 2011. Bandmates include SoohyunKiseopEli, AJ, Kevin and Dongho.
Hoon currently attends Dongguk University, majoring in Theatre & Film.

2009-2010: Solo career

Hoon debuted as a solo ballad singer under his real name and released an extended play Pure & Love with the title track Bus on September 9, 2009. The following year, he released a digital single entitled Beginning. Aside from singing, Hoon also appeared on SBS drama Athena: Goddess of War as the president's bodyguard.

[edit]2011: As a member of U-KISS and acting career

After the departure of Alexander and Kibum, NH Media announced that Hoon and PARAN's AJ will be joining U-KISS. He was picked for his strong vocals and good looks. He made his debut as a member of U-KISS through the group's fifth mini album Bran New Kiss which was released on March 30, 2011 with the title song "0330" and U-KISS swept music charts with their comeback.
Hoon along with bandmates Dongho, Kiseop and Soohyun began filming movie with Jay Park, Kim Soo Ro and Park Yejin with a working title Mr. Idol in February 2011. It was the group's first movie. Later that year, it was announced that Hoon and Dongho will star in Super Action TV's Holy Land, a four-part movie about rebellious high school students. The movie is scheduled to air on April 28 2012.



All About Elison Kim (Kim Kyoung Jae)




Kim Kyoungjae (born March 13, 1991), popularly known as Eli Kim, is a Korean-American singer and one of the seven-member Korean boyband, U-KISS under NH Media Entertainment. Eli is very well known as a trainee for Taekwondo and Kung Fu. He is main rapper of the group and one of the three English-speaking members of
UKISS along with AJ and Kevin] (and ex-member Alexander).

Pre-debut

Eli (short for Ellison) was raised in Washington, D.C. by his Korean parents, but spent most of his years in Virginia. He has a younger sister and an older sister . He attended Ni River Middle School and Riverbend High School in Virginia. After dropping out of high school, he went alone to Beijing, China to pursue his studies where he also learned Mandarin. He studied the techniques for Taekwondoand Kung Fu for 12 years, opening an opportunity for him to cast as an extra-artist in a Chinese movie.

Eli is the fourth addition to a Korean boyband, U-KISS which was formed by NH Media Entertainment in 2008.They were launched in Power of Atamix in Japan alongside other Korean boybands such as Paran.They also debuted in South Korea days later. They released their first mini-album N-Generation and first music video, Not Young.

On January 2010, Eli and ex-member Kibum starred in a Thai-Korean drama, Autumn Destiny with Thai actor, Mario Maurer. Eli and Kibum's voices were dubbed since they could not speak Thai.
Eli has not appeared on many variety shows. He was one of the hosts for a variety show, Raising Idol along with co-U-KISS member Shin DonghoMBLAQ's Thunder and Shinee's Key.He appeared on MBC's We Are Dating on December 24, 2010 where he showed his Casanova type of being a man. He also appeared as an emcee at the segment All About You on the show "Pops In Seoul" on Arirang TV, along with fellow U-KISS members, Alexander and Kevin. He also act as an emcee in the new show Fusion with Park Myung-soo under MBC which premiered on April 1.
Eli is also known as The Pigeon because of his good imitation of a bird. This was featured on the groups reality show, UKiss Vampirewhen he tried to copy how a pigeon eats through its beak.
On April 18, 2011 Eli was injured during a rehearsal. He fractured his right hand, and underwent surgery. The hospital stated that it would not be difficult for Eli to perform, and he managed to performed with a cast on his right arm.
In April 27, 2011 Eli and Kevin went to Hong Kong for a special street date with their Hong Kong fans for their show “Star Date with U-KISS in Hong Kong” special. This was sponsored by Binggrae, which aims to connect the fans all over the world to Hallyu stars to encourage cultural exchanges. The special was aired through Arirang TV on May 3.
Eli, with co-members Dongho and Kiseop were cast in an MBC sitcom titled, Real School. The trio acted in a 40-episode series, transforming into high school students who reside at an ‘English Village’ in an attempt to face and crack their fear of speakingEnglish.


All About Lee Ki Seop



Lee Kiseop (Korean: 이기섭, born January 17, 1991) is a South Korean idol singer and is currently one of the seven-member South Korean boy band, idol group U-KISS, under NH Media Entertainment. Other members include Soohyun, Kevin WooKim Eli, AJ, Hoon &Shin Dongho.
Kiseop joined the group officially 2009 for the Man Man Ha Ni comeback but was known for his appearance in the music video of Not Young. Kiseop is also known as an ulzzang, even making appearance on Ulzzang Generation 2.

His special ability is martial arts (Taekwondo), Beat boxing, dancing and acting.
Kiseop attended High School Education in Yatab High School. He was reportedly saving money to pay himself through a university. During his high school years, he was very active in the dance circle but had no stage experience when he officially became a member ofU-KISS.
According to U-KISS, Kiseop is the King of surprised and blowfish expressions, while according to Dongho, he is the nicest hyung(older brother).



Before, U-KISS had only six members which composed of KevinDongho, Soohyun, Eli, Kibum and Alexander. But in 2009, he joined the group in their 3rd mini Album “ContiUkiss”.[3] He is a former ulzzang, and has appeared on the second season of Uljjang Shidae. But before that he was already working with U-KISS way before, as he appeared to U-KISS first single MV, Not Young.[4]
Before debuting, after being rejected by numerous entertainment companies, Kiseop tried committing suicide but his mother helped guide him out of his suicidal stages early in his career. He was once a model at a shopping mall run by a friend before he auditioned and got into U-KISS. That was revealed in their reality show, UKISS Vampire. Kiseop also appeared in PKL's Wonderful Outing withGirls Generation.
Being the additional member to U-KISS, the other members claim that Kiseop works the hardest and the most serious among them. When first accepted as a new member, Kiseop made entry on U-KISS official homepage, in which he was apologizing to all the loyal fans of U-KISS and asking them to accept him as the new member in a humble way.


All About Shin Soo Hyun




Shin Soohyun (Korean: 신수현, born March 11, 1989) is a South Korean idol singer, best known as the leader and main vocalist of seven-member boy bandU-KISS formed by NH Media in 2008. Bandmates include KiseopEli, AJ, HoonKevin and Dongho.


Early life

Shin Soohyun was a soccer player in Gyeonggi-doSouth Korea.Aside from sports, he also joined various singing contests that caused him to discover his drive to be an idol. He was once a trainee under Good Entertainment as well as the prestigious JYP Entertainment.  On 2006, he transferred to NH Media and made his official debut as a member of the boyband, U-KISS.
Soohyun’s father died when he was in second grade, resulting in his depression. His family went through some very hard times and didn’t have much money for food.

In 2011, Shin Soohyun was appointed as the leader of U-KISS.[8]  During their promotions with their second full-length album Neverland, their producer dissed the Korean girl group, Kara for winning over U-KISS.[8]  As the leader, Soohyun apologized through his officialTwitter account.[8]  Fans have given him the nickname "King of Fanservice" because he constantly gives attention to his fans and keeps them happy whenever he finds free time.[9]  In 2012, he was dubbed the "Power Vocal" of the band.[10]

As a member of Korean boybandU-KISS. The group launched their first mini album, N-Generation with their hit single Not Young in August 2008.  Their second mini album Bring It Back 2 Old School was released on the February 11, 2009 with their carrier single, I Like You. It features the members sporting Old School hairstyles, dancing to Korean pop in the late 1990s, which was really the concept of the second mini album. The second promoted track is Talk To Me, although it had no links to the Old School concept.
On November 5, 2009, U-KISS returned with their third mini album, ContiUkiss. The title track Man Man Ha Ni (Am I That Easy?) helped raise their popularity in South Korea.
Their first full length album, Only One, was released on February 2010. This heightened their popularity outside Korea such as in the PhilippinesSingaporeMalaysia and Indonesia. Promotional tracks include Bingeul Bingeul (Round and Round), and Mworago (What).
On October 4, 2010, the fourth mini album Break Time further supported their manly image.  It features the title track, Shut Up!.  The group also released their fifth mini album entitled Bran New Kiss in March 30, 2011.  On the same day, their music video for their carrier single, 0330 was released and received positive reviews. It is the first album of the group with the new members, AJ and Hoon replacing Alexander and Kibum.
On November 21, the maknae of the group, Dongho wrapped up a day of shooting on set when he felt sudden pain around his lower back area. After going to the hospital, he discovered that he had cracked his tailbone. The injury was treated, but he’s still feeling pain and was told he needed sufficient time to rest and recover.  The incident brought a wave of concern for the group’s promotions schedule, as they’re currently slated to make their Japanese debut.On November 24, NH Media stated, "We are working hard to make sure that the injury will not affect U-KISS’s Japanese promotions." At this time, Dongho is said to be having difficulty performing the intense choreography set for their upcoming debut.
U-KISS went back in Korea on September with the release of their second full album, Neverland spawning the single, Neverland.  On 2011, U-KISS formally signed under Avex Japan for their Japanese debut. They recently made their formal debut into Japan, on December 14, 2011, with the release of their single Tick Tack. The second single is entitled Forbidden Love. They released their first Japanese full-length album, A Shared Dream, on February 29, 2012.On September 12, 2012 UKISS revealed the teaser for their new single "Stop Girl". It was followed up by the release of the music video on September 19. On September 23, they released the dance practice video for their lead single."Stop Girl" will be the groups first comeback since their Japanese single "One of You" released on August 20th and their first Korean comeback since the release of "Believe" in June. The title track is written by Ryan Jeon, who also wrote their hit song "Neverland". The physical album was released on September 20, along with the digital album as well.
